Dark Energy

Dark energy is a complete mystery to scientists right now and an even bigger problem than dark matter. Though scientists have an idea of what dark matter may be, they haven't figured out what is responsible for dark energy. Even more problematic is that dark matter makes up about 30% of our universe but dark energy makes up even more: 65%! It's up to future physicists like you to solve this gargantuan problem and explain dark energy.

Imagine the Universe is a service of the High Energy Astrophysics Science Archive Research Center (HEASARC), Dr. Nicholas White (Director), within the Laboratory for High Energy Astrophysics at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center.
